“Better Everything” is a concept developed by the truly small business consulting firm Coburn Enterprises. BetterEverything.net is a blogging community established to help our clients generate “Social Media Synergy”.
How it works
Each client we develop a custom website for will get a keyword rich “post” under the Better Everything main blog in a category specific to their target market. If the client also participates in one of our Search Engine Marketing programs we will create a blog specifically for their keyword / industry focus and blog for them under their blog and category(ies). In addition, a search engine optimization client will be promoted within our community as the “expert” in their category. Each client that has a blog will automatically promote the others. By sharing links throughout the community we will build strength and recognition for each other.
Since Coburn Enterprises will only select one of any kind of business from each geographic location or (if they offer a national solution) industry into their search engine marketing program, visitors to this website will automatically know that their business was hand picked to be a client. The criteria for becoming a member of Better Everything is that your company agrees to maintain the same kinds of ethics and standards Coburn Enterprises holds themselves accountable to and that you have no competitors already signed on with us for search engine marketing.
Once you are accepted as a Coburn Enterprises search engine marketing client, your competitors will not be able to join our firm as a search engine marketing client until and unless you choose to discontinue your search engine marketing subscription. If you relinquish your position as the authority on a keyword phrase and industry or product, we will review the websites that are on our waitlist to select the best candidate to replace you.
Why we do it this way
We created this “selective client acquisition” business model after we realized that we do not want to compete with ourselves for organic search results when a client entrusts us with their page rank goals.
Coburn Enterprises is a company founded in 2001 under the name “SiteBuilder Now” by Harmony Coburn. Coburn Enterprises still operates their original website at http://coburnenterprises.com/sbn/ – a website dedicated to tools for the true ”do-it-yourself” webmaster.
In 2010, the “SiteBuilder Now” name is being dropped in favor of the primary business name of Coburn Enterprises so that we can promote the full spectrum of Small Business Solutions that we offer. Coburn Enterprises serves as an advisor to “truly” small businesses (TSBs). Coburn Enterprises helps start-up entrepreneurs, who are usually self-funded and trying to get their business launched with minimum capital. We consider these “truly” small businesses (TSBs).
We help Truly Small Businesses navigate the minutia of starting or expanding their “truly” small business with a strong focus on website marketing, search engine optimization, search engine marketing and e-commerce solutions, but we take a wholistic approach. In our nearly 10 years as a “website building company” we have discovered that most of our clients are overwhelmed with the details of starting a small office / home office based business or expanding from a “mom & pop” to the next level. As a marketing and design company, we always ask critical questions of new clients about their short and long term goals, who their target market is and their supplemental marketing strategies. We need to understand the details of their short and long term goals, their target market and their business strategies in order to advise them on the best solutions and lay a solid foundation for their web marketing needs. Since we have done E-Commerce sites since 2003, we have also researched options related to selling online, merchant services (accepting payments by credit and debit cards) and shipping solutions in order to provide the always requested advice on these matters.
